碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育經營與管理學系 === 99 === This study used the result of Taiwan Education Panel Survey (TEPS) 2005, 2007 parent questionnaire and student questionnaire as research data. The purpose of this study was to explore the factors affected students’ self-concept and parent involvement of senior and vocational high school students in Taiwan. The factors of this study divided into socio-economic status, parents’ expectation. This research employed the descriptive statistics, hierarchical regression analysis and structural equation modeling. The findings were as follows: 1. The higher performance expectation of parents had, the worse children’s self-concept in high school and vocational school was. 2. The better self-concept of public high school students had, and the higher performance expectation of parents was, the worse self-concept of students had. But students from private schools did not have better self-concept.3. Senior high school students who had better self-concept and the parents had higher performance expectation would have worse self-concept. The better self-concept of senior high school students had, the higher performance expectation of parents was, the worse students’ self-concept had. But students from comprehensive high school and vocational high school did not have higher self-concept.4. Students from urban area and their family had higher income would have better self-concept. But the higher performance expectations of parents had, the worse students’ self-concept was. The better of self-concept in urban students, students had better self-concept in higher income family. 5. When parents’ vocation is a technician in pubic school, the worse students’ self-concept is. 6. The higher performance expectation of parent is, the higher degree of participation in schools is; the higher achieved expectation of parents is, the higher degree of participation in school is.
