By developing Wogo Wetland ecological teaching curriculum, this study focus on (1) curriculum impacts on 4th grade students’ behaviors toward environment conservation and (2) teaching difficulties and solutions instructors are facing. The curriculum utilizes Wugo wetland to facilitate elementary school student social studies. Through observation, interview, and recording of twenty-eight 4th grade students and teaching diaries under 4 separate sessions, impacts of wetland issues on students’ learning behaviors are analyzed. After 4 sessions (20 classes), it is found that students’ skills in recognition, emotional expressing, and profession are substantially improved and results are summarized as below: 1. Wugo wetland ecological park is suitable for environmental education curriculum; 2. By focusing on neighborhood environment and resources, students express better attitudes toward homeland resource and environment protections after sessions; 3. Controversies between wetland preservation and development can provide students insides on environment issues; 4. Teaching over wetland controversies facilitate students’ positive behaviors toward environment. At last, suggestions on environment and wetland ecological teaching are provided for further studies.
