Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 幼兒與家庭教育學系碩士班 === 99 === The purpose of this study was to explore the adjustment of left-handed children in the kindergarten. The subjects are two left-handed children. Researcher observed them at the preschool and interviewed their teachers and main minders to understand what problem they met, the adapted way and the factors in learning, living and social life. Qualitative research was applied to the study. The researcher concluded this study with several findings: 1. Writing problem: left-handed children have to overcome the order for characters. 2. Mental problem: let-handed children touch others easily and feel uncomfortable. 3. Living problem: let-handed children have to adapt to the right-handed equipment. 4. Teacher-child interaction problem: teachers can’t satisfy the request for let-handed children. Accordingly, some suggestions were proposed in the final section: 1.Adults should have the positive attitude and supply materials properly. 2.Parents should communicate with teachers before children enter school. 3.Preschool teachers should arrange the appropriate seats and materials, also try to understand the difference among the children. 4.Preschool teachers should observe let-handed children writing more attentively and help to write. 5.Primary management department of education administration and curriculum designers should carry out the policy about writing isn’t good in the preschool.
