碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 商船學系所 === 99 === Taiwan was an agricultural country many, many years ago. But now, the forms in whole Taiwan have been changing followed by domestic population and its movement of the society. People believe that the international settlement for making progresses and traditional agricultural production can’t satisfy the Taiwanese people’s need little by little. That’s why it becomes an electronic high-tech Taiwan passing over these 60 years. Everybody knows and sees “The economic miracles of Taiwan” clearly. “The 4 Asian Dragons of economic countries” on Taiwan was so proud to us. Well, however, the development and mode about the global economics keep moving on and on, so we depend on the great national educational policies; in the mean time, we surely need the wonderful human training for social needs.
For example, when the medical students are in shortage, they easily feel exhausted for the serious shortage. On the contrary, too many medical students might fail to find the jobs or lose their jobs if much more and more of them than what we need and expect, right!? Such as Germany, about 10,000 more doctors lose their jobs once a year. Therefore, the national educational policies must depend on and be based on the necessity of human resource of this society, Furthermore, during the 1st and 2ndeducational reforms with “410” At first, the ideas were「Expanding the senior high schools」、「Everyone has his own university to study」、「Abolishing the senior vocational high schools」etc., under these circumstances, how did the vocational high schools survive? Especially, as everyone has his own university to study, there’re no more problems with “high school experience”; yet being employed becomes a very serious and new problems It’s just because the “high school experience” lies, but without “high school’s ability”, so we might ask ourselves what the “high school experience” stands for? Maybe problems lie there, but the schools of skills and career find and open good chances to go on and on, for the time being, my teaching school---Yu-Da has faced the period of ‘few children” with the expectation and demand of society, that’s why Yu-Da is taking too much multi-loads(burdens). As for this, I who is working in this school now, feel very impressed. The thesis written by me is just right based on the main procedures and experience on Yu-Da that I have been teaching here for 23 years already, then in order to see more and wider vocational school’s development and transformation. Next, to observe the urgent demand on so tough employees, there have been 60 years since Yu-Da was established. There have been 300 thousand more students who were graduated from it in these 60 years. So many people who were graduated from Yu-Da are famous and have good reputations. Few of these graduated students in every field of work have no special prestige we expect, but they are still good workers. People like this are not few either. Somehow, I use the data of graduated students from Yu-Da to analyzed and combine them through the period of “few children” and the need of society. Somehow, to learn and to know ”how does Yu-Da conquer the setback and develop the brand-new future road?” is the main issue that I study for . Watching the vocational high schools is going on well or not in Taiwan from Yu-Da past 60 years’ experience. Besides, seeing more capable employees’ needs till now to look forward to lifting best quality with so much deeper、wider and greater education in whole Taiwan.
However, there are 4 conclusions found, as follows: (1)The shaking, not stable government’s policies, (2)Yu-Da always supports the education on skill and vocation, (3)Losing balance between the high school and vocational high school, (4)The methods about the governmental education are not enough. And finally, I still have to say,”we can not quit the skill’s and vocational education; on the contrary, we do have to think much more importance of it again.
