The results of analysis by Plaxis show that the elastic modulus of gravel stratum at Xindian is around 5500N~8500N(Kpa) based on gravel SPT N=100 and have good results of retaining wall deflection on last stage of excavation. The elastic modulus of this study compared with Bagua mountain gravel stratum because the study of Xindian gravel stratum is not sufficient to evaluate. The results of this study also meet the elastic modulus 416500~833000Kpa at Bagua mountain gravel stratum simulated by FLAC 2D by Guo(1999) and elastic modulus 88200~815600Kpa at Bagua mountain gravel stratum by experience feedback by Hou(2001).
