Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 99 === This study is to analyze and estimate the wind power potential using the wind speed data collected from July, 2009 to September, 2010 which was measured at the old building of the Institute of the Physics, Academia Sinica, Taipei.
The analysis of wind data showed that the prevailing winds were northern northeasterly wind and southern southeasterly wind.
The frequency distribution of wind speed for each month was found to close to the Weibull probability density function. The wind speed distribution showed the wind speed mostly range from 5m/s and 7m/s. The fitted wind speed frequency distribution for Weibull probability density function showed the scale parameter range from 4.95m/s to 6.88m /s,and shape parameter ranged from 5.03 to 11.75.
Statistical results for each month showed the mean wind speed ranged from 4m/s and 7m /s, and turbulence intensity ranged from 7% and 21%.
The wind power potential was estimated by using DS-3000(3000W type)vertical axis wind turbine. Result indicated the wind power was 297 kW.h, in average for each month.
