| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 教育心理與輔導學系碩士在職專班 === 99 === The purpose of this research was to explore the relationships among attachment styles, injury event factors and forgiveness in adults of different backgrounds. Three hundred and sixteen adults, 100 males and 216 females, above 20 of age being offended by his\her partner for more than 6 months were included. The Scale of Interpersonal Attachment Style and Enright Forgiveness Inventory were conducted. Data were analyzed with ANOVA, Pearson's product-moment correlation and stepwise regression.
The main results from this research were shown below:
1. Adults of different backgrounds including age, education, occupation, religion, marital status, and health status showed significant differences in attachment style.
2. Adults of different backgrounds including gender, age, education, marital status, and love duration showed significant differences in the attitude of forgiveness.
3. Secure attachment was positively correlated with affective, behavioral and cognitive forgiveness separately; in contrast, insecure attachment was negatively correlated with affective, behavioral and cognitive forgiveness separately.
4. The attitudes of offensed adults towards forgiveness differed significantly for their suffering levels of offense, offenders, and the relationship with the offender.
5. The degree of injury showed apparent predictability to attitude toward forgiveness.
6. The attachment style significantly predicted attitude toward forgiveness.
Based on the results, the implication of this study in education, counseling and guidance institutions as well as future researchs of this field was discussed.
