Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 美術學系在職進修碩士班 === 99 === Self-uncertain is due to the imbalance between the physiological fast growth and the mental mature on teenage .Self-concept is a key factor on developing personal character which affects self-conscious and behavior. One of the goals of humanity literature art program is to help students explore themselves and be aware of the relationship between nature and human. In addition, “art is a therapy” useful for relieving negative emotions and supporting self- development. The research in this thesis attempts to design a series of self-portrait program which combines self –concept and visual art teaching, to promote junior-high-school students’ self-concepts.
Action research spirit is adapted, through designing programs and assessing the effects after teaching, according to the qualitative and quantitative analyses .The objects of this teaching program are the 7th grade students in junior high school. The following are the results:
1.The program is developed and revised by the repeating process of pre-teaching, supervised by experts, to develop the self-portrait program that combines self-concept.
2.The programs are composed by four projects: “This Is Me”, “Self-Portrait, Similar or Not”, “Magic Mirror”, and “Wish Me a Beautiful Future.”
3.In the program, students can promote their self- concepts gradually by representing themselves with different media.
4.The program is useful for promoting the self- concepts of students.
The researcher in this dissertation proposes some suggestions relating to program implementation, depending on the observations and reflections.
