Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 美術學系在職進修碩士班 === 99 === This dissertation is a theoretical description of the author’s own contemporary ink and wash works. The primary research core of this dissertation is to process exploration and experimentation of “content” and “style” with manifesting categories of “digital ink and wash” and “ink and wash devises.”
In the beginning section, it discusses the meaning of uncertainty from thoughts of life circumstances to the concepts of the East and the West about ecology care. In the second section, it refers the expression of the digital ink and wash and its current circumstance, and describing the diffraction grating principle and its characteristics of representation through the strategy of genealogy construction. In the third section, it regards the origins and the characteristics of the installation, and considering the performances of the digital devises and its current circumstances.
The last section to the conclusion is the work notes section which regarding the concepts and the reflection upon the author’s own works of “digital ink and wash” and “ink and wash devises.” In the category of the digital wash and ink, the author tried various automatic strategies to generate images, and importing these images to a computer to do the retouch so that two different images could both be made meaningfully and related to each other. Finally, the images will be exported as the final product through the strategy of the diffraction grating principle. The works in this series are mostly with themes of expressing “Zen” or “uncertainty.” In the category of ink and wash devises, the concept is to utilize ready-made products to express the pleasant of ink and wash as the reflection on the environmental circumstances.
The final result of the research and the wish to the future were addressed in the conclusion section.
