| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 99 === Rugby was originated in 1913 in Taiwan, which is a physical high-contact sports
and have a higher proportion of athletic injuries. It is less popular in sport
competitions, but there were several new and excellent records achieved in Asia in
recent years. I would like to take this opportunity to discuss about Rugby in Taiwan,
and the development of Kaohsiung County Rugby will be an example.
I am using some historical research and interviews collected from 1984 to 2010
in Kaohsiung County, which was municipal merged the former Kaohsiung County
Rugby in P.E class in school, social profiles, in-depth discussion and analysis of
sports development.
The results of the study are as follows:
1. First of all, for a example, students were sent to the National Taiwan Normal
University and majoring in Sports Academy graduates. They teach and train the
training football generation in assigned schools in Kaohsiung County after returning
from schooling, which helps to expand Rugby development in the country.
2. Secondly, Kaohsiung County football development mainly consists of
physical education teachers and coach in school. The rugby teams are formed with
administrative units, school administrators and definitely parents’ support. The
players feel supportive while joining the training, studies in school, which create the
players the excellent achievements in the future. It is all about the driving force
behind the promotion.
3.Thirdly, according to Kaohsiung County Rugby community development: the
organization is primarily formed by the Commission-promotion of rugby
development, that is training up many national teams. The players from Kaohsiung
County Rugby community development team up for a team of seven and have won
for four undefeated for the season, and they have become the new important overlords
in Taiwan National Rugby Games.
