In 2010, Abbasbandy and Hajjari provided weighted trapezoidal approximation preserving cores of a fuzzy number. They proved that the weighted trapezoidal approximation-preserving core is always a fuzzy number. In this paper, we propose another approach. We use weighted (ƒ,g)-trapezoidal approximation fuzzy number to approximate a fuzzy number, which preserves its core.
