| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 99 === The main purpose of the study is to investigate the condition of Happy Roll Elastic Ensemble of Tainan Municipal Cultural Center. Based on the data of the participant observation and literature review, the author tries to gain insight into the ensemble development, activities and the feelings from the members joined in the ensemble by the interviews. The results of this research are following:
1. Happy Roll Elastic Ensemble of Tainan Municipal Cultural Center lays great stress on having fun with audience and being close to people. The Ensemble promotes music in the community and supports the art performing groups with different events.
2. The ensemble crew accepts all people of all ages. They play Chinese and Western music instruments. It is the musical group that is flexible and various in the arrangements and types of performing.
3. The ensemble, with various instruments and staffing, is getting to level up the efficiency of the ensemble running by the administration of the self-governing organization, the agreement and the council.
4. Use the various grouping freely. In administration, split the work neatly according to the need in the ensemble. In rehearsal, coordinate the ensemble by team work practice.
5. The rehearsals are led and planned by the conductor. There are mainly two stages. First, warm up the ensemble to improve the playing rapport. Second, instruct the crew to gain insight into the aesthetic feelings by songs practices.
6. The ensemble plans the events by themes including different performing types such as instruments playing, singing, dancing and so on. During the performances, it would put emphasis on the highly participation and interaction of the performers and audience. These events have the quality of civil music and having fun with each other.
7. The activities of the crew in the ensemble not only share the joy of playing music, but also build up the friendship.
8. The conductor Professor Lee is the important promoter of the ensemble. He is not only a conductor but also a project proposer. He works as a communicator between the municipal cultural center and the crew.
9. The volunteer teachers work on composing and instruction to provide great resource for the ensemble.
10. The crew is an essential group to take part into the ensemble actively and passionately to achieve the goals the ensemble has made. They encourage and support each other.
In conclusion, the author presents the research findings and suggestions to future researchers, community music workers, and social culture groups.
