Therefore, through the research “In-Between”, I attempt to exploit to the postentialities from my curiosity, as the key to open up the tracking of my selfhood, including following the trace of shadows, observation of life objects, and natural feel of painting. Ultimately, I expect to find out away where my further creation stands. The discussion of ‘In-between’ is the description of my creation process, inclusive of inspiration, experiment, thinking, selection, transformation...etc., among ‘art and self’, ‘internality and externality’, and ‘media and expression’. The first chapter begins with brief trace back to the author’s personal condition of creation and centers on the vague in-between chaotic region. It discovers the object again and describes it in order to preliminarily investigate the relationship between the object and self via the expression and concepts of ‘In-between’. The second chapter releases the law and prejudice and constructs spiritual and abstract language of painting and personal styles based on the model of joyfulness. The third chapter reviews the author’s capriciousness and transformation, and meanwhile, figures out the defined individual style and initial properties of painting for sincere creation to the best of her ability. The fourth chapter accepts the uncertain properties and explores how to do the painting for carrying out the existence of life under the uncertain generation. The creation of ‘In-between’ is a journey without plans or destinations. In the backpack was a bit courage. I just took a look ahead and set out with a bicycle. On the way, I met an intersection with ‘personal expression’ and ‘realistic depiction’, went through a crossroad of ‘concrete’ and ‘abstract’, and walked across three areas: ‘discovered objects’, ‘understanding painting’, and ‘tracking selfhood’. The scenery on the way sometimes may be glorious or plain and sometimes may be in a muddle or joy after sorrow. In spite of the circuitous or muddy, the steady depiction and repeatedly expression can finally formulate my own rough outline and create my colorful life and abundant my life quality.
