attitude and behavior of elementary school teachers with different
backgrounds who work in Tainan County. In this study, the blog using
attitude included the cognition, enjoyment, confidence and usefulness
toward teaching blog. Meanwhile, the blog using behavior included the
skills’ improving, curriculum management and teaching assistance,
teacher-parent-student communication, teachers’ professional
development and reflection. The researcher tried to point out the
differences and relationship within and between the blog using attitude
and behavior first. Then, the researcher indicated out the limitations and
difficulties for elementary school teachers to use teaching blog.
The method of collecting data used by the study was a questionnaire
survey. The subjects of this study were 290 elementary school teachers in
Tainan County who had used teaching blogs or are using teaching blogs
now. All data was analyzed by SPSS 10.0. The analyzing methods
included descriptive statistics (e.g. frequency distribution, percentage and
standard deviation), one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment
correlation. The findings of the study were as follows:
1. The usage of blog of Tainan elementary school teachers is not so good
as we expected.
2. The blog using attitude of teachers in Tainan County is positive.
3. The frequency of blog using behavior of teachers in Tainan County is
middle, but there is a decreasing in “teachers’ professional
development and reflection”.
4. There are significant differences in the part of blog using attitude of
elementary school teachers in Tainan County who have different gender,

work in schools of different sizes and have different duties.
5. There are significant differences in the part of blog using behavior of
elementary school teachers in Tainan County who have different gender,
work in schools of different sizes and have different duties.
6. A positive correlation between the blog using attitude and behavior of
elementary school teachers in Taiwan County is presented.
7. The limitations and difficulties for Tainan elementary school teachers
to use teaching blogs are that the time isn’t enough, the speed of data
upload is too slow and the space for saving data is too small.
Finally, based on the results of the study, some suggestions were
given to education administration, schools, teachers and researchers who
intended to conduct related researches.
