Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 生物科技學系碩士班 === 99 === UV will hurt skin and lead to skin hyperpigmentation. The most important thing in whitening skin is to reduce and suppress the rate of melanin’s formation so as to diminish its generation. Thus, melanogenic inhibitors becomes the important goal of the research of whitening. Natural substances have been chosen as raw materials to reduce the side effects of chemical compounds on skins. For example, discovered in recent years, arbutin can also interfere with the formation of melanin. In addition to these melanogenesis inhibitors, there are many natural plants for research, such as green tea extract can inhibit the tyrosinase activity. The purpose of this study is using zebrafish as an experimental species and selecting natural components that inhibit the melanogenesis. In this research, zebrafish embryos were treated with natural components in 9 hpf. After 39 hours, the fish are fixed and then placed in a microscope to observe and take photographs. Then the images are processed by using computer software Photoshop and the black spot areas of the fish body and tail are calculated by using computer software ImageJ. The result shows that Lithospermum erythrorhizon; Astragalus membranaceus; Morus alba; Rehmannia glutinosa; Codonopsis pilosula and Angelica sinensis can effectively reduce the formation of melanin.
