Nowadays, there is an appliable hierarchical dimension of leisure stress coping developed by Iwasaki and Mannel in 2000. However, it has the following disadvantages: 1. its structure is unbalanced. 2. the questionnaire includes too many items, particularly in psychological factors. In this research, a new conceptive leisure coping scale based on holistic health including:Physical, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions has been developed. After consulting 5 experts, they suggested that the items of the spiritual factors in the survey should be deleted. The questionnaire consists of personal information of respondents, the conceptive leisure coping scale and the hierarchical dimension of leisure stress coping as criterion – related validity. Of the 400 questionnaires, 380 are valid and analyzed. Through internal reliability and one level confirmatory factor analysis, the result shows an acceptable fit in the overall factors. There are advantages of the leisure coping scale: (1) it is based on holistic health.(2) there are 20 questions and same number of items for each dimension. (3) it reduces the total number of items in the survey has been reduced to 20. (4) it is developed for Taiwanese. Chen, Chienho 陳建和 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 104 zh-TW
