Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 視覺藝術學系 === 99 === The dawning of the age of digitalization and the trend of integrating information technology into teaching make the ability of, and the need for, teachers to create an attractive webpage for their students an increasingly important concern. The three purposes of this study are: (1) to explore the presentation and components of a web page; (2) to survey the preferences of different web page layouts on the part of students; and (3) to explore the factors that influence students’ preferences for, and appreciation of, the web page layout. With the use of a literature review and other research and development methods, this study took 195 pupils from Tangrong Elementary School in Pingtung City as the research subjects. The methodology used for data collection included questionnaires and interviews, and reached a response rate of 98.9%. After the qualitative and quantitative analyses based on the results of the questionnaires and interviews, the conclusions of this study, based on thirteen major presentations of web page layout, such as text, graphic, layout, color, hyper-link, and animation, are as follows. (1) students prefer the layouts of round, curve, and c shapes and have less appreciation for the layouts of the vertical shape, reversal-U shape, and left-right arrangement; (2) students’ opinions varied according to gender, age, and hours spent on-line per week; and (3) the factors of layout style, visual elements, students’ gender, age, and hours spent on-line influence students’ preference of the curve arrangement over that of the square arrangement. It is suggested that elementary school teachers follow the conclusion of this study in designing their web pages, based on students’ age and gender differences as well as their preferences, and that they can also continue to study students’ preferences in regard to animation, sound effects and interactive web elements.
