Longevity. Questionnaire was used in this study, and the collecting sample consisted of 350 people in Mt. Longevity. The statistical methods were frequency distribution, independent samples test, descriptive statistics, and one-way ANOVA. People have good understanding about Formosan Macaques, but still can be better. People’s understanding of basic cognition, behavior about Formosan Macaques is better, but the knowledge of social constitution, diet composition, reproduce behavior and others is worse. The understanding of basic cognition for the age from 51to 60 is significantly better than the age under 40. The understanding of social constitution for people whose information are from news are significantly better than people who didn’t have the same sources. The understanding of behavior for the age from 31to 40 is significantly better than the age older than 60, people who finished senior high education, university education ,and graduate school are significantly better than people who didn’t finished junior high education, people whose information are from news, books, films, explanation board and people who observe by themselves are significantly better than people who didn’t have the same sources. The understanding of diet composition for the age from 31to 40 and from 51 to 60 is significantly better than the age under 30, people who finished graduate school are significantly better than people who finished university education, people who climbed mountain over ten times one month are significantly better than people who climbed mountain less than once and 1 to 2 times one month, people whose information are from climbers, and people who observe by themselves are significantly better than people who didn’t have the same sources. The understanding of reproduce behavior for people who finished graduate school are significantly better than people who finished senior high education and university education, people whose information are from news, books, films, and people who observe by themselves are significantly better than people who didn’t have the same sources. The understanding of others for people who finished graduate school are significantly better than people who didn’t finished junior high education, people who climbed mountain over ten times one month are significantly better than people who climbed mountain less than 1 to 2 times one month. people who ever joined class about Formosan Macaques has significantly better understanding of Basic Cognition, behavior, reproduce behavior than people who never joined class. The high score subgroup has significantly better understanding of Basic Cognition, behavior, and others for recreation experience than the low score subgroup.
