Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育行政研究所 === 99 === The study aims to discuss the relation between elementary school principal service leadership and school administration efficiency in Kaohsiung. The research is conducted in questionnaire method. The targets are public elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung, samples are selected randomly according to the school sizes, and the tools are self-compiled “Relation between elementary school principals’ service leadership and school administration efficiency in Kaohsiung questionnaire.” 792 samples are selected and 755 questionnaires are retrieved, the returns-ratio is 95.33%. 744 of them are effective questionnaires, the ratio is 93.94%. The collected data are analyzed by descriptive analysis, independent samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The research results are,
1.Elementary school teachers approve the performances of their principals’ service leadership on overall and different aspects. Meanwhile, they approve the roles that administrators play on overall and different aspects on school administration.
2.Teachers’ age, their highest school record, and their year of service are three different background variables that can tell the remarkable differences of their principals’ service leadership.
3.Teachers’ age and their year of service are two different background variables that can tell the remarkable differences on the school administration efficiency.
4.Remarkable positive correlations are found in teachers’ awareness between principal service leadership and school administration efficiency.
5.Remarkable differences are found in teachers’ awareness of their principals’ low, middle, and high service leadership behavior groups, and the overall and different aspects on school administration efficiency.
6.Elementary school teachers’ awareness has the explanation to their principals’ service leadership and school administration efficiency.
Suggestions are given to education authority and school administrators based on the research results. Conclusions may be given as the reference in future study.
