Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育行政研究所 === 99 === The proposal of this study based on teachers in elementary schools located in Kaohsiung City was to investigate the followings: first, it was designed to see the current situation of the principal leadership styles and group dynamics in elementary schools ; second, it was to observe the influences of elementary school teachers’ background variables on the perception of principal leadership styles and group dynamics; third, emphasis was made to find of correlation between the teachers’ perception of principal leadership styles and group dynamics and the prediction of results. Elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City were the subjects of the study. A total of 1067 questionnaires were administered. Among them, 97.1% were retrieved and 94.1% were valid. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s production-moment correlation and stepwise regression analysis. This study concluded as following: 1. Elementary school teachers can exercise group dynamics: cohesiveness, standard and interpersonal communication well. 2. The elementary school teachers who show better perception of leadership: fascination, knowledge percept and interpersonal concern show better perception of group dynamics. 3. The elementary school teachers who show better perception of leadership: work initiative, show worse perception of group dynamics. 4. Teachers in Kaohsiung County perceive higher degree of principal’s concern. 5. The elementary school teachers who are female, teach branches in Kaohsiung county show better perception of group dynamics. 6. The elementary school teachers who are in small-scale school in remote area show better perception of leadership: work initiative. Key words: Elementary school, Leadership, Group dynamic
