The study focused on the writings of Paiwan writers and made discussions on three topics of “belief and religion”, “taboo and worship”, as well as “diet, song, and dance” to glorify the influence and value of Paiwan writers on the literature of aboriginal culture. There were six chapters in the study and the first chapter was “Introduction”. The research motive and purpose, research method and procedure, research scope and chapter structure of the study were described in the chapter. The second chapter was “Observations on the Writings of Aboriginal Literature and Paiwan Writers”. The development and importance of aboriginal literature were discussed through historical approach. The writing features of different writers were also analyzed based on the creative background of Paiwan writers. The third chapter was “Belief and Religion” which discussed the content and transition of traditional belief of Paiwan. The impact on traditional religion and the religious integration after the western religion being introduced were also discussed to identify the variability of Paiwan’ s religious culture. The fourth chapter was “Taboo and Worship” which described the norm and restricts of taboos. The relationship of taboos and natural laws was also discussed. The types of traditional worships and five year worship ceremony of Paiwan was also illustrated in expect of obtaining further understanding of the relationship between taboo and worship. The fifth chapter was “Diet, Song, and Dance”. Millet and millet wine represented the diet culture of Paiwan. The cultural meanings of millet and millet wine were interpreted. The importance of song and dance for Paiwan society was discussed respectively, that the singing of songs could express the feelings at the moment while dance was used to celebrate. The sixth chapter was “Discussion” which included three topics of “the revival and inspiration of aboriginal identification”, “the preservation and succession of aboriginal culture”, and “the re-birth and re-construction of traditional culture” to conclude the effects and value contributed by the writings of Paiwan writers on the cultural language. none 林秀蓉 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 282 zh-TW
