Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 99 === The main purpose of the study was to investigate whether single junior high school teachers’ internal self conditions and marital preferences are associated with their marital attitudes or not. It was also an aim of the study to comprehend the current status of internal self conditions, marital preferences, and marital attitudes for single junior high school teachers by utilizing internal self conditions, marital preferences and marital attitudes of single junior high school teachers with different background variables. The object of the study was to examine whether the single teachers’ various variables, internal self conditions, and marital preferences are associated with their marital attitudes and marital results as well. A questionnaire employed to male or female teachers in junior high school was processed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regressions. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. Psychological conditions were valued the most for single teachers in junior high school toward marital preferences, followed by social conditions and physical conditions. 2. The single male teachers have more positive attitudes toward marriage than the single female ones in junior high school. 3. Single female ones with a master degree and specific religion have more likely to choose “social conditions” out of marital preferences. 4. Single junior high school teachers who perceived that their own internal self conditions are inferior to others have higher chances of stressing marital conditions and leading them to more negative feelings on marriage. 5. “Sex/gender”, “religion” and “dating experience with the opposite sex” are able to predict the overall attitudes about marriage. The academic work hopes to suggest further progress on the field of studies, the sex education, the home education and the future studies.
