Method: This study adopted the survey research method, 752 questionnaires delivered to the government procurement personnel in south of Taiwan. There were 397 questionnaires valid, 52.79 % response rate. Independent variable is work stress; Dependent variable is job satisfaction and the moderators are personality traits and job involvement. After receiving the response questionnaires, statistics application SPSS18.0 was adopted for descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability, Pearson product-moment correlation, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA and regression analysis. After examing these statistics, the study can explain the effects of relationship, prediction and moderation. Findings are discussed in terms of implications for theory and practice. Findings & Conclusion: The findings of this study are summarized as follows: 1. The government procurement-personnel with different demographics in Southern of Taiwan have unparallel performance in work stress, work satisfaction, personality traits, and work involvement. 2. It is partially supported that work stress negatively predicts job satisfaction. 3. Personality traits are positively associated with job satisfaction. 4. Job involvement is positively associated with job satisfaction. 5. Personality traits do not moderate the relationship between work strss and job satisfaction. 6. It is partially supported that job involvement moderates the relationship between work stress and job satisfaction. The conclusion: According to the results of this study, in order to increase the work satisfaction of government procurement personnel, the study suggests the management of work stress; besides, government should not only use personality trait exams to promote workers, select potentials, and inspire personnel work involvement, but also increase the work satisfaction by promoting and inspiring positive psychology.
