To fulfill the study purposes, the secondary data analysis was adopted from a large national data base, Taiwan Integrated Postsecondary Database (TIPED). This secondary data were collected from 281 college graduates with disabilities who filled in three queitionnaires administrated during one year before and after gradulation. The descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and structure equation modeling were used. In addition, the qualitative interviews were applied with 10 graduates. The major findings of the study were as follows: It was found that although around 60% of graduates with disabilities have been employed within one year of graduation, employment outcome between several aspects drew a great distinction. Besides, The employability they self-rated on one year after graduation was significantly different from the employability they rated on the time they were graduating. Employed Interviewees showed positive attitude towards their employability. The result indicated that “positive self-concept,” “certificate acquisition,” and “work experience” were vital factors related to employment outcome and employability for college graduates with disabilities. Further, female graduates with disabilities had more work experience than male ones while they were at school. Meanwhile, after graduation, the rate on full-time jobs of female was higher than male. There was significant difference between private college graduates and public college graduates in the means of finding a job. In addition, the results revealed that graduates with disabilities from private colleges were greater than those from public colleges in terms of self-rated employability, occupation training, certificate acquisition, and work experience. Most of the interviewees regarded the complexity of interpersonal relationship as their major plight in the workplace. Meanwhile, more than half of the interviewees took working in the governmental department as their first vocational goal. In addition, graduates with disabilities had diverged opinions on relationship between college education and employment. Also, it seemed that the amount of work experience they had while they were at school was related to how much impact they would have in the workplace after graduating from school. According to the above findings, several suggestions were proposed for the graduates with disabilities, professionals working with people with disabilities, and the future researches. These suggestions included encouraging the graduates with disabilities to build up positive self-concept, to acquire professional certificates and working experience, and improving their social skills.
