In recent years, research for speech tends to be mature and hot in Taiwan, but compared to the emotional speech related research and development in foreign countries, the research of prosodic modeling for emotional speech in Taiwan is still few.
In this thesis, from some studies of emotion by foreign scholars and researchers, we adopt seven representative emotion including natural, scare, angry, elation, sadness, surprise, and disgust. Recording and statistical analysis are performed and decision tree is used to model the duration of emotional speech. This model can be applied to speech recognition or speech synthesis in the future.
