Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 應用日語所 === 99 === The outbreak of Brother Elephants’ scandal in 2009 led to its potential dissolution. Facing Taiwan professional baseball league’s questionable future, the Government and the baseball associations began to realize the importance of the match fixing problem in serious and attempts to change the image of Taiwan professional baseball league. However, the problem has existed for many years. How to win back the hearts of the fans, how to recruit new blood, and how to restore the popularity of baseball as once it was back in the days of the grand Hongye Little League team become the most critical issue. Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters in 2004 moved from Tokyo to Hokkaido. In Hokkaido there was quite a large base of fans of the Yomiuri Giants. Also, the Giants often organized activities in Hokkaido; fan support for Giants soared. Therefore, Nippon Ham Fighters’ move was considered by speculators clearly as a gamble. However, in contrary, it has been 6 years since the move of Hokkaido Ham Fighters baseball team; thousands of people attended the victory parade. In addition, female audience filled more than half of the seats in the audience. The store entrances advertising Ham Fighters team flag show that the gamble did not result in failure. Taiwan''s current situation is similar with that of the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters team when it had just moved to Sapporo, Hokkaido as its base. So with Ham Fighters team serving as an example, supplemented by questionnaires, the study intends to explore the success factors of the results to propose the Ham Fighters team and the Taiwan baseball teams.
