Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處語文教學碩士班 === 99 === This research investigates the influences of creative drama activities on fifth-grade students’ English listening and speaking abilities as well as the teachers’ experienced when she employed this teaching strategy. One fifth-grade class of 35 students participated in this action research on an English curriculum consisting of 15 creative drama activities lessons. Before and after the course, “ English listening and speaking abilities test” was given to the students. The research data, which include interviews, notes of classroom observations, students’ worksheets, questionnaires, and experts’ opinions were collected and analyzed. The results are: 1. An action research of integrating creative drama activities into elementary school English curriculum is practicable. 2. Integrating creative drama activities into elementary school English curriculum can improve students’ English listening and speaking abilities and learning interests. 3. Integrating creative drama activities into elementary school English curriculum can promote teachers’ professional knowledge and teaching skills.
