碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處造形藝術碩士專班 === 99 === Abstract 　“Concealed Desire – Behind Representation” – an individual tends to conceal his or her desire: “Concealing” is a behavior, either conscious or unconscious, and “Desire” for a person, is a behavior emerges from demand of inclination either to obtain something or to achieve a specific goal, and perhaps even a former desire which is concealed and does exist but is covered up and leaves no clue from the representation. The present study on a creative work aims at exploring the specific aspect of the artist’s deep inside through the art creation by presenting the dream like pictures with objects depicted seemingly as representations; further by using a drawing pen in a technique resembling calligraphy to capture and render the psychological image deep down from the inside into a magic surrealistic Picture. The author’s creation focuses on exploration of human mind and the study aims at three objectives: (1) to study desire in human nature through art creation; (2) to study the dark side of human mind through art creation; and (3) to study the behavior of concealed desire through art creation. In theoretical aspect, the study focuses on exploring the formation of illusion and fantasy. This encompasses the representation of illusions seen from those found in myth stories, also the origin of images in fantasy and the influences of fantasy to the artist during creating art works. The study also tries to explore subconscious, viewing the influences of subconscious to human behaviors at the angle of psycho-analysis, and identifying that subconscious and collective subconscious serve as sources of human dreams and instincts. The concept behind the work is to inquire into the relationship between parasites and human being and that between parasite and host; also how the dark side in the human mind affects the external behavior and results in distortion. The material in the creation of the work in question, a black ink, is applied with a drawing pen. A sketch creation for a creator resembles a prose creation for a writer – creating by writing in a way of symbolic representation, in the creation the symbols function as linguistic analysis elements and the metaphors of the reality through displacement.
