Summary: | 碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 99 === Purpose: This study aims at investigating the different weight control educational strategies within workplace staff health promotion effects. Methods: There were 33 employees of Hsinchu Science Park randomly assigned into four groups: Nutrition and fitness education for 9 subjects; nutrition education for 8 subjects; physical education for 8 subjects; and the control group for 8 subjects. Each group depended on its strategies got through in nutrition education programs and physical fitness education program for 4 weeks and used diet diary or exercise experiments after 4 weeks courses. Body composition, nutrition and physical fitness cognition, physical fitness and exercise behavior stage were measured among pre-experiment, experiment and post-experiment. Results: Body mass index, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist-hip ratio, body fat, nutrition cognition and flexibility within each group were improved significantly, but the other factors had no improvement. Conclusion: 1. There was no significantly improvement in body weight reduction, but there were significant improvements in body mass index, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist-hip ratio, body fat, but there were regain after the end of education courses; 2. It has significantly improved nutrition knowledge but failed to improve physical fitness cognition; 3. It improved flexibility fitness but the other had no improvement; 4. It had no significant changes in exercise behavior. Showed the performance of employees in the workplace, health promotion effectiveness, 8 weeks weight control education without continued effect.
