Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 諮商與輔導研究所 === 99 === The study is an experimental research base on the Hope theory to explore the effect on female college students’ body imagery and physiological indicators. There are twelve students participate the eight-weeks meetings for discussing and sharing their experience and feelings by the way of clearly goal settings, encouraging and concrete pathways which are important components of Hope theory for weight control. Additionally, each participant completed the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ) and the physical measurements were also collected. These measurements included body fat percentage and body mass index (BMI). Data were analyzed by repeated measures ANOVA; findings indicate that there is a significant effect on increasing their body area satisfaction and appearance evaluation, reducing the body fat percentage and BMI. As we have found out from the results, the weight control group on the basis of Hope Theory can lower physiological indicators. It also can improve appearance evaluation and body area satisfaction of body imagery. Finally, according to research results, to make discussions and recommendations, in the hope to offer them as reference of promoting weight control plan in the school and community for the future researchers.
