The simulated results of the energy band diagram and performance parameters for the CuGaSe2 (CGS) solar cells were analyzed. The effects of the interface properties, buffer properties, and conduction band offset between CdS and CGS films on the CGS solar cell were investigated. The effects of various buffers including CdS, ZnS, In(OH,S), or ZnMgO films on the performance of CGS solar cells were studied.
