Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 自然資源與環境學系 === 99 === Phyllanthus L. is subordinate to Euphorbiaceae sensu lato containing 11 subgenera, 65 sections and 833 species. It is widely distributed in the tropical and subtropical zones of the world. In this study, the genus Phyllanthus in Borneo is examined taxonomically based on flowers, seed morphology, and pollen morphology. Seeds and pollen were observed and photographed using Light Microscopy (LM),Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). In addition, exine structure and differences in thickness were also observed using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Eight pollen types of Phyllanthus in Borneo were classified from reference literature. In this study, six pollen types were recognized based on 14 examined species. The P. buxifolius type distributes in most species. Based on plant form, flowers, and seed morphology, P. chamaepeuce Ridl. and P. nozeranii Rossignol & Haicour. are separated from P. urinaria L. Five subgenera, nine sections, and thirteen species of Phyllanthus were recorded in Borneo. In this study, twenty-one species including eight newly recorded species, belonging to six subgenera and twelve sections are recognized in Borneo.
