But these devices usually need to connect to the Internet. So the great research about MANET, and this technology as soon as using on the Vehicle. We focus on Routing Protocol in VANET environment. Because Routing Protocol didn’t operate in coordination with IP Address, we introduce the Geographic Internet Protocol (GIP). The certain work of GIP is allocating IP Address for cars. We use this mechanism to decide the true location about the destination, and using the location information to help our routing protocol work.
In this paper we propose a routing protocol based on GIP. In the first, we introduce the basic routing on GIP, and then we introduce the dynamic routing on GIP. The dynamic routing using the traffic information to increase performance of routing protocol, and the traffic information is a statistics about the car movement information.
In the end, we improve our performance is better than other routing protocol in our environment by experimentation. Our routing protocol has the higher packet delivery ratio and the lower end to end delay.
