The fashion industry is characterized by rapid change and competitive market where product life cycles are short, so the firms need to pay attention to new product development. Although few studies dealt with the performance measures of apparel products, literature on apparel product has not given definite research attention to what factors may influence new product development performance in fashion firm. The paper aims to explore how human capital and organization form influence new product development performance by case study. This study will collect and analyze the history and business models of large well-known brands, Hermes, LV, Prada and Gucci in the fashion industry. The finding indicates that the human capital and organization form have positive impacts on new product development performance.
