Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 國際企業學系 === 99 === International corporations now face the incremental pressure for corporate social responsibility in global business environment, thus implementation of corporate social responsibility has been stressed day by day. This study utilizes a mediating model to explore the relation among institutional pressures, corporate social responsibility and firm performance. The data set composed of 1072 firm-year observing points from the secondary data of the publicly listed firms in Taiwanese electronics industries during the period from 2001 to 2008. The findings of this study indicate that institutional pressures first influence the level of corporate social responsibility and thus influence the level of performance. Further, this study also finds that the explanatory power of the proposed mediating model is stronger than that of a moderating model.
