Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 國際企業學系 === 99 === This thesis analyzes the operating efficiency of the twenty retailers of two Taiwanese automobile dealers based on the data envelopment analysis. Additionally, this thesis makes a cross comparative analysis of the Malmquist Productivity Index. This thesis also compares the overall technical efficiency ranking with the practical ranking to find some differences among retailers. The results indicate that there are a total of 16 retailers presenting relative efficiency at the overall technical efficiency. On the slack variable analysis, the item of vehicles with maintenance services needs the most improvement. Finally, most retailers continue to show improvement according to the standards of MPI. Therefore, this thesis suggests the relationship between retailers and maintenance departments can be mutually supported in order to create greater profits. This thesis looks forward to constructing a complete business operating performance model for enhancing the performances of retailers and maintenance departments. This thesis can provide useful suggestions for the managers of project management to focus on how to find out and develop the maximum effectiveness by allocating human resources and related resources fitly, and enhance the whole operating performance of retailers and maintenance departments.
