Ethnic identity construction of New Taiwanese Children has been the problem in Taiwan. In the formation of ethnic identity, individual identity and cultural identity are two essential sections. Thus, the teacher research served as the qualitative method in documenting and exploring how three New Taiwanese Children made individual identity, cultural identity and English learning transformation so as to reconstruct ethnic identity in an EFL critical literacy curriculum. Three fourth elementary school graders were New Taiwanese Children as the participants. The data source included observation in class, interviews, students’ portfolios, questionnaires, reflection journals, worksheets audios and videos. The results implied that New Taiwanese Children indeed had transformation in individual, and cultural then reconstruct ethnic identity. Furthermore, an EFL critical literacy iii curriculum served as the resource for researchers, teachers and students a new prospect of English teaching and learning implementation in an EFL context in Taiwan.
