| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育學系研究所 === 99 === This study aimed to explore the Nantou County, Yunlin County and Chiayi County elementary school children of new immigrants’ personal background variables, parental styles and life adaptations to different situations.
This study used questionnaires to Nantou County, Yunlin County and Chiayi County's public elementary from grades four to five, the number of children of new immigrants as a research object, and then conducted a hierarchical cluster sampling, a total of 556 samples.According to survey data for descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA analysis and other statistical analysis approach.
Research results:
1. Parenting in different styles, adapting to life on their children have significant variation(p<.05).
2. New immigrant children parents’ parenting style, begin with "Enlightened Authority" up; the "Lenient Permissive" at least.
3. Different backgrounds of new immigrant children and their parents' parenting style to adapt to life, are below the significant variation.
4. The father or the mother's parenting style, and adapting to life, showing correlation(r=.10~.28，p<.05).
