Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育學系研究所 === 99 === Abstract The purpose of the study is to investigate the correlation between the quality of working life and job burnout of elementary school administrators, and compare the background variance of different schools and administrators. The research in nature is a quantitative study using a self-designed questionnaire titled as “The Quality of Working Life and Job Burnout of Elementary School Administrators”. In this study the samples include 345 valid feedback questionnaires from 350 administrators in 54 elementary schools in Chiayi city and county. The feedback data are processed with statistical methods such as descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation analysis. The major results are as follows: 1. The elementary school administrators in Chiayi city and county have good quality of working life and burnout. 2. The working life quality difference of the administrators with different school backgrounds is significant. 3. The job burnout difference of the administrators with different school backgrounds is significant. 4. The administrators with high quality of working life have little job burnout than those with middle or low quality of working life. 5. A significant correlation between the administrators’ working life quality and job burnout is found. The higher working life quality the administrators have, the lower job burnout they have. 6. The quality of working life of elementary school administrators is significant predictor of job burnout. Finally, every organization should work their ways to lower job burnout. For administrators, the most effective method to reduce the barrier of job burnout is to change the way they think. According to the results of the study, concrete suggestions are given as references for the educational administration, the school administration and future research.
