This pre-experimental study is a one-group pre-test/post-test design. Four subjects were selected through the stratified sampling method. The treatment involved four 45-minute counseling sessions. Before the counseling treatment was administered, they took the “Self-esteem Scale”, the “Middle-school Student Interpersonal Relationship Meter”, the “Children's Depression Inventory--Taiwan Version”, and the “The Behavior Puzzle Meter”. When the treatment was finished, besides taking the four tests again, and they also filled out the “Counseling Response Scale”. The collected data was analyzed by the Sign Test of “Non-parametric Statistics”. The results of the study found that applying Tarot to counseling motivated subjects to receive counseling in the future, raised their self-esteem, increased their interpersonal problem solving skills, reduced their interpersonal needs, as well as minimized their problems in poor interpersonal relationahip, low efficiency, negative self-esteem and poor body-mind development. Finally, the researcher provided practitioners constructive suggestions on how to work with high-risk junior high students and future studies new directions.
