As to the continuously transporting, wheel-based processing equipment for thin-film material, the control of material tension affects the quality of processed products greatly. Therefore, stable tension control and processing can promote the quality and yield of products to effectively reduce the material waste. However, most material tension controllers are imported with extremely high cost and limited applications. In addition, the feasible adjustment is poor for existed common controllers, and, therefore, the equipment performance cannot be effectively promoted. Particularly, the related technology is not available, and the relevant literature, which only stops at investigation and simulation and cannot be practically applied to the equipment, is also lacking. Consequently, this thesis utilizes microcontroller ATmega128 of low power loss and high efficiency as the core controller to integrate peripheral hardware, electric circuit and a group of electric bridge type pressure sensor and develop a set of material tension controller including the RS-485 communication interface. The result proves that the tension controller developed in this thesis has stable quality and competitive price, which is 47% less than the price of imported controller.
