Accordingly, one class was chosen for the case study. The data collected from interview, observation, questionnaires, and document analysis. The major findings of this study were listed as follows: 1.Choosing the proper picture books as teaching materials is necessary. It builds students’ positive attitudes toward English learning, and promote their interest in reading. 2.EFL teachers can build up a supportive learning atmosphere while English reading teaching to help their students raise self-esteem and self-confidence of English learning. 3.Cooperative Learning can help learners work together to achieve the same goal. Students establish the confraternity and consensus with their peer, concern with each other and learn how to manage themselves in the cooperative learning environment. 4.EFL teachers can also select appropriate picture books with audio aids which help students’ learning. Using different ways on English reading teaching can enhance students’ achievements. Based on the findings, the researcher proposes suggestions for school administrators, and future researchers by this case study of the hidden curriculum of Eglish reading instruction.
