A total of 40 ant species with 6,910 individuals in 25 genera belonging to 6 subfamilies was collected once a month from September, 2008 to February, 2010. It took 18 months. The most species in the subfamily was Myrmicinae (47.5 %), the following was Ponerinae (27.5 %). The proportion of species was similar to the world wide patterns of Myrmicinae and Ponerinae of around 55 % to 25 %. Winkler extraction was an efficient method in sampling ants. Lophomyrmex taivanae (44.73 %) was the most abundant ant species in Sihjiaolin followed by Paratrechina flavipes (15.56 %)and Ponera takaminei (4.37 %). The three ants were dominant, they appeared monthly and were recorded in all site. Disturbed forest (A zone) collected 29 ant species belonging to 6 subfamily. Unmixed forest (B zone) collected 32 ant species belonging to 5 subfamily. Secondary forest (C zone) collected 24 ant species belonging to 4 subfamily. Functional group analysis showed that cryptic species and opportunists were abundant in the three zones. The proportion of the two functional groups was around 60 %. Each sample collected 4.04 species (SD ± 1.79). Sampling the litter ants by Winkler bags in Sihjiaolin had consistency. There were two streams in the studying site. The stream barrier made the ant community structure of the two sides very different. Chung-Chi Lin 林宗岐 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 65 zh-TW |
