The building need plenty concrete to do the construct, and the concrete need sand and stone to do the aggregate. Taiwan hasn’t more resources to supply the construction, so government has been importing a lot of sand and stone from other country since 1997. Construction and demolition projects bring a lot of waste concrete. The waste concrete will amounted to 1061 million tons per year. If the waste concrete is dumping illegally, the waste concrete will be serious pollution. In Taiwan, a large part of the waste concrete is suitable only as embankment and fill, granular base. If the waste concrete can be used to the recycled product, the Preservation of the environment will be practice. The concrete, that is accordance with the concrete mix as 140 kgf/cm2、210 kgf/cm2and 280kgf/cm2, is used as control group. The control groups are cured by the water tank until the test ages (28 days). The tests include Modulus of elasticity, specific gravity, water absorption, and Compressive strength. When the concrete have already completed the test, the waste concrete will be used to the recycled aggregate to make the recycled concrete. The results of this study: The Compressive strength of RAC is 89% than reference concrete, the specific gravity is inferior to reference concrete of 4.7%, the water absorption is 20% higher than the natural aggregates, and The Modulus of elasticity is inferior to reference concrete of 30.5%. The other goal in this study is used the concrete mix as 4000psi, that intermix different strength coarse and fine recycled aggregate to made the cylindrical specimens to analyze the characteristic.
