An acoustic diode is formed by coupling a periodic medium that consists of water and glass layers with an appropriately chosen nonlinear acoustic medium. The rectifying efficiency of acoustic wave is determined by the band-gap effect of the phononic crystal and the properties of the nonlinear acoustic medium. We compare the results of different incidence angles of the acoustic wave and analyze the influences of various physical parameters on the rectifying efficiency. We also discuss the analysis and illustration of acoustic diode for random situations. Acoustic diode has high adjustability. We can get desired rectifying efficiency by properly choosing the material and structure parameters.
