Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 99 === In this thesis, the design and analysis of the quasi Yagi-Uda element-based antenna array employed as the transmitting antenna of the integrated photonic transmitters are presented. The quasi Yagi-Uda element antenna used as the single element has the advantages of simple in configuration, compact in size, convenient to feed-in, and reasonably directional radiation. However, the analysis of entire antenna array structure with the full-wave electromagnetic simulator is time-consuming, which renders the array implementation impractical. Here, the array radiation characteristics obtained with the radiation patterns of sorely a single-element full-wave is proposed. For experimental demonstration, the antenna array is integrated with the near-ballistic uni-travelling-carrier photodiode to form an integrated photonic transmitter, which operates at the W-band (75-110 GHz). The radiation from the transmitter with the proposed quasi Yagi-Uda array is measured and compared to the simulated results for verification.
