Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 99 === The purpose of this study is to explore the factors affected the E-learning outcomes, and construct an objective and appropriate assessment model for evaluating the performance of E-learning courses in terms of the perspective of intellectual capital. This study adopted Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which can handle multiple inputs and outputs, to evaluate the efficiency of E-learning courses in higher education. The results of this study could provide the understanding of the effectiveness of the resource allocation via the measurement of the efficiency, and improvement suggestions. Therefore, the performance evaluation has the positive power towards the improvement of E-learning.
The results show that most of E-learning courses still need to be improved in terms of their technical efficiency, and the human capital has the strongest influence on the performance of E-learning courses. According to the slack variable analysis results, the times of login and the download times of teaching materials were the factors that caused the performance of courses inefficiently. This study was conducted to provide a better performance assessment model, and the findings of this research may be referred to the improvement and decision for instructional methods. This model provides an useful tool for education institutions which have a demand to conduct self-assessment to improve E-learning course''s performance.
