This is doubt and suspicion after reviewing previous participation of sport, and it is also the motive for this study. After reading personal knowledge by Michael Polanyi with its concepts of tacit dimension, focal awareness, and subsidiary awareness, it is rather helpful to Aikido that I am currently learning. As such, I am triggered to exploit the viewpoint of perspective by Michael Polanyi to examine the difference or impact upon the learning of other Aikido learners, which is considered the purpose of this study. Methodology is: 1. through related literatures or study of personal knowledge and Aikido to appreciate its theory and content; 2. from one’s experience and reflection, it is to bring theoretical viewpoint of skill learning and one’s participation to discover its spot of critical link in between; 3. interview other learners to convenience the ways of formulation and content difference for personal knowledge among individuals, and see they would exert any impact on learning. This study would investigate from three perspectives as tacit dimension, focal awareness, and subsidiary awareness in related to personal knowledge for discussion, so that we can learn how learners can conduct themselves through tacit learning to transformation of personal disposition as well as the learning and cultivation of related movement habit. For learning effect in support of learners, there are types as found in concept, movement skill, and learning attitude, while some formation factors can have come from past experience, and some are gradually formed from learning activity. As for personal knowledge, they are found gathering content as tacit dimension, focal awareness, and subsidiary awareness. For conclusions obtained from information collected and my comments learned from this period of time, they are: 1. with storage of experiences, one must do well with thing here and now for such experiences can, oftentimes, turn into as advantage in later days; 2. the learning of Aikido takes grind-in with other people, and it can be most helpful for the dealing with others as well as cultivation of temper after practice for a period of time. 碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育研究所 === 99 === Why is it that learning with similar content and timing can effect with different athletic performance? This is doubt and suspicion after reviewing previous participation of sport, and it is also the motive for this study. After reading personal knowledge by Michael Polanyi with its concepts of tacit dimension, focal awareness, and subsidiary awareness, it is rather helpful to Aikido that I am currently learning.
