The researcher recruited 175 counselors and gave them questionnaire survey packages, including personal demography, Burnout Scale, and Self-care Scale. The researcher applied descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The major results are as follows: The level of counselor burnout was lower middle. The most serious syndrome was emotional exhaustion. The frequency of using self-care was upper middle. The awareness strategy was the most frequently used. Young, senior, master degree, full time and lower service hours counselors have stronger feeling of burnout. Gender didn’t affect the feeling of burnout. Full time counselors used the slef-care more. Gender, ages, work year ,education degree, service hours differences didn’t affect the feeling of self-care. Significantly negative correlation between burnout and self-care. Self-care has impact on burnout among counselor. Finally, a discussion was preceded according to the results and suggestions as well as references were provided for counselor and educational organizations to continue afterward researches.
