Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築學系碩博士班 === 99 === Eyes are the main sensor to receive information from the outside world as around 80% external messages are captured by vision. In the informative 21st century, most people work up 5 hours under VDT with their sights fixed on the screen. Furthermore, inappropriate outer lighting environment fatigues workers' eyes, thus lower their productivity. In the meantime, while pursuing a healthy and comfortable interior quality, sustainable use of energy has also become a main issues in public. In conclusion, this research studies the influences to productivity by using different lighting methods based on LED lights under energy-saving and carbon reduction principle. Through the analysis of subjective psychological evaluation and subjective measurement of physical senses to productivity, this research proposes an energy-saving, healthy and comfortable VDT task lighting environmental module for the use and reference of users and designers. Research Methods A full-scale laboratory is utilized for the experiment of environmental senses in this research. In the laboratory, eye tracking system is utilized with VTS (Psycho Diagnostics with the Vienna Test System, VTS) computer test and questionnaires to evaluate testee's phychological condition to further analyse eye ball movement under different lightings. In the same time, physical reactions such as blink of eyes and the time of eye-closing are referred. This research investigates how productivity are affected under different lighting modes in VDT works by integrating the phychological subjective senses evaluation, measurement of physical recations to measure changes in productivity, so as to propose a recommendation on envirmental module for higher productivity. Research Result In the recommended 3001x and 5001x interior lighting enviroment of VDT work, productivity are not greatly affected by reducing environmental lighting or increasing partial lighting. Mix of those two lightings are feasible to replace a full lighting to save energy and increases productivity in long hours, but is likely to cause visual fatigue. If visual demands are higher, a full 5001x module should be considered with priority to provide a stabler work environment. Moreover, this module performs better in physical visual fatigue and affects psychological feelings in positive way when workload of task is changed. In sum, mixed lighting is suitable for mental task, and full lighting is suitable for high visual concentration task.
